History
Screaming Eagle is a phenomenon of Californian wines. By revealing of the best terroir Jean Philips started acquiring of plots at the end of 80th selling grapes to neighboring wineries. It’s hard to imagine the first released vintage 1992 became a legend and quickly gained popularity. Robert Parker had not a small part in the rising and stumbled across the star. The unique microclimate of vineyards gives depth and tremendous potential to Cabernet Sauvignon. Screaming Eagle was sold to Charles Banks and Stan Kroenke at 2006 for a sum which seeks to 30 million dollars (Nobody breaks a final one). New proprietors continue tradition to produce the best wines introducing their view.
Technology
Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard has ideal situation to reach the optimal ripening. Farming decisions used at the vineyard are shrouded in secrecy giving to public just general facts. Nick Gislason, current winemaker of Screaming Eagle, works expressing the full energy of obtained high quality grape. The wine was aged in 60% of new oak without filtering and fining.
